I'm sure you're right. In time I expect I shall build a recent 2.6
kernel hopefully with hardware fp and build whatever goes into the
board from scratch, probably with cross-dev from Gentoo.
I'm not that familiar with debian yet and a lot of the reason I chose
TS boards was the claim of out of the box functionality and reduced
time to market.
Finding stuff like apt not even being configured correctly on the
"full featured" distro image is making the reality a bit longer than
expected.
All this digging has to be done anyway so it's not wasted , I had
just hoped to do a lot of it later and get a prototype up quicker.
