I have the same issue -- I'd rather not have to issue a mount /mnt/usb_drive or mount -a manually. Is perhaps loadUSBModules.sh loaded onto the FLASH ROM of the TS-7200 as it comes from EmbeddedARM? I have my RedBoot going straight into the Compact FLASH. Yahoo!
