Hi,

I have been trying to compile Linux 2.6 on TS7250 it without success.

I followed steps from
http://vaiprime.visibleassets.com/~cfriedt/linux-2.6.19-ts7xxx.txt.
The script has a slight typo. wget downloads 2.6.16.19 but the
following steps refer to 2.6.19. I downloaded the 2.6.19 vanilla
kernel -> patch-discontigmem -> copy the config file.

The compile process fails with the following message:

/tmp/cc6LAzFe.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cc6LAzFe.s:3018: Error: .err encountered
make[1]: *** [mm/page_alloc.o] Error 1
make: *** [mm] Error 2

I'm using arm-gcc 3.3.4 (compiled out of crosstools).

I also tried the steps given at an earlier thread -
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ts-7000/message/5497

The first nF bit patch, serial uartbaud works, but the Machine ID fix
  fails (http://svn.wantstofly.org/kernel/local.diff). There seems to
be no file in arch/arm/common/npe.c in the vanilla 2.6.22 kernel. Is
there some other arm related patch that I am missing ?

thanks in advance,
-siddharth
