a)  The person isn't running Windows or Linux, it's Mac OS X
b)  They're on PPC arch not x86.

Craig, you'll have to download crosstools and compile it, to do that you'll need to install XCode.  You can use GCC 4.0.1, but must use glibc 2.3.2.  If you're really nice to me I might compile crosstools for you as I could use it here but just haven't do it....
