Dear Jw,

I prefered to use a standalone bridge and an AP to make new wireless network.
(Because of dongle type elements are for only indoor use they are not
performing good job unfortunatly.)

I used Planet WAP 6100 AP/Bridge to setup up the wireless network. It has been
more than 15 month and no problem :))

they cost about 200 USD each with weather proof option, 25 meters UTP cable
with weather proof connector and a 12 dbi omni directional antenna. In this class
it is impossible to find a similiar product in this price/performance ratio.

Best Regards.

Subject: [ts-7000] WiFi Access Point for TS-7260 Recommendation

Does anyone have a recommendation for a WiFi Access Point product that
is compatible with the 7260 and suitable for outdoor use?

I have a isolated network (i.e. not connected to the internet) of
7260's that I would like to provide access to via WiFi. I want to be
able to connect to an AP attached to one of the 7260s and then have
network access to all of them.

I have several of the IOGear dongles that could theoretically be used
for this if they were protected from the elements, but their range
seems extremely limited, and they do not seem to operate very robustly.

I am running a Debian system with version 2.4.26 of the kernel that I
have built myself, that is based on ts11.

Reliability is the most important feature: I want to be able to
connect every time. Speed and Range are not nearly as important. We
will be fairly close to the AP (20-30 meters) and data rates will be
fairly low (a few kbps). Price is not terribly important.

If anyone has a particular product that they have had success with, I
would be most interested in hearing about it.

Regards,

jw
