You will need kernel support for IDE, which is documented here:
http://oz.embeddedarm.com/~michael/support/ide-doc.txt
I seem to remember that only one IRQ setting is appropriate to use with an
ARM board (ISA IRQ 7/ARM IRQ 40 IIRC).
