Actually, what I meant to say was I built the same kernel on a different host machine, and then ran it on the same ts7260
and it worked.

I'm thinking some tool chain versions just don't work ?

Somewhere in your scripts on the other machine you have a 'mount -o
remount,rw /'. Just stick that into rcS or wherever you mount all
your other stuff.
