Ok, that was a releif, however a normal process would be that a scematic 
directly reflect the
PCB when a normal designtool is used. I did  not find the MSB signal on 
the Cirrus (or any
other circuit) I was woundering if the board was only supporting the 8 
bits (not all 12) or if the
MAX circuit was used in other way than described (then curisous). 
However the shematics shows
the HBEN is not wired and would then be wrong.. Im not able to check the 
board because it is mounten
in the housing, as well as I had to know if the optional AD would do the 
job.

No, I have not tested the code yet, because the Optional AD is not 
mounted yet. However you have
convinced me that it sould work so I will go ahead and insert the AD and 
test the IO locations.

Sure, would be interesting to know the annotation between the schematic 
drawing and the PCB cad.
