COM2 has RS-232 support only for the TXD and RXD signals.  This is
sufficient to interface with the serial devices that only rqeuire
transmit and receive data lines.

This is basically the difference between the two COM ports.


That means that for communications with modem and other such devices
that needs more than the Rx and Tx lines, you cannot use the COM2.
