My troubles turned out to be due to gcc 4.1 being installed on my dev box... I still have no idea how that happened, but at some point I must have installed it... (apt-get dist-upgrade instead of apt-get update? Not enough or too much caffeine....) gcc 3.3 or 3.4 seems to be the toolchain builder gcc of choice. --Yan Yahoo!
