quilt pushed a bunch of the out of tree patches
Put the printascii back in... yea! (see below)

At the moment I'm using the out of the 2.6-git ep93xx_defconfig, no changes.
the only kernel patch is telling arch/arm/toosl/mach-types is

the cpu rev is E0
poking at the bootloader...

I really should step back to a last known working version of the non-git version of the tree...
would like Lennert to confirm that current git boots for him...
