Subject: | [ts-7000] formatting (?) onboard flash filesystem |

After pulling my hair out with a filesystem issue, I decided to take a drastic action, I created an ext2 filesystem on /dev/mtdblock/1 as an experiment. I would like to go back to a jffs2 filesystem on the flash and figure I overwrote some interesting data when I created the ext2 filesystem. flash_eraseall doesn't see /dev/mtdblock/1 as a flash device it can erase. Attempts to use dd to write the flash image doesn't accomplish anything either. Is all lost, or is there a fairly simple way to get back to mtd being able to access /dev/mtdblock/1?
