Eddie,
Thanks for your help on Tuesday.
We do have the NAND flash on the board and
the eraseall on the /dev/mtd/1 device worked (thanks also Andy).

I have noticed  a 40 second delay in mounting this filesystem.

The delay occurs either when mounting as /
or when an NFS mount is used for / and /dev/mtdblock/1 is
mounted to /mnt/mtdblock1.

Is this a normal delay or do I have more troubleshooting ahead?
Cheers,
T.mike

You don't need to use the flash_eraseall utility when using
NOR flash. You can use dd to write out the default image.
Here is some information on where to get the current JFFS2
image.

http://www.seiner.com/ts7000/index.php/WhereToGetTheLatestImages.

See page 9 of the TS-Arm Developers manual for information on how
to write out the default image.
