Yes, I know that. If you configure your AP as 11g-only, you gain a slight performance improvement over mixed-mode AP that may help if you do lots of VoIP over WLAN. For normal file transfers the difference is very small. But I do not always control the AP I want to connect to. I'm still searching some device with zd1211 and reasonable delivery time. I'll test it when I have one. ps. further development plans for zd1211 include: "dump 2.4 kernel support." Yahoo!
