This isn't really a technical question, but does involve the TS7250, so it
was suggested I ask here. Our electrical engineer's are designing a product
that includes a TS7250, a TSISO485 and maybe one or two other boards. I've
been tasked with specifying the case and hardware requirements and sources,
and then designing the case.
In looking for the hardware to put together the stack, I'm finding that the
PC104 consortium's recommendedspacers, the 4-40 M/F .600 inch long spacer is
non-standard, and rather expensive, at least when looking at the RAF
4000-440-N MOD L=.600 part number I found on the PC104.org website. At a
$1.35 each from one of my current suppliers, having to have 12 or 16 of
these in a stack can add significant cost.
What do you all do for your stacks? Is there alternative manufacturer's of
these spacers? Can something more standard be used with a washer or
something? Can anyone recommend a cheaper source for these spacers?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris Heismann
