dont realy want to do that , theres too much important stuff on the 
drive  
i have plans to upgrade it to a bigger drive and dual boot ,but will 
be a couple of months before that happens , so does not solve the 
imidiate problem  
but could be possible to mount a usb hard drive as a knoppix swap 
and do it using that  
, job for monday if the adaptor arrives
