Maybe you can try to shrink the NFTS partition in order to make some room
to create a swap partition. Knoppix 4.02 has 'ntfsresize' that can do this:

From there, just add a swap partition with 'fdisk' and format it with
'mkswap'. Knoppix should find the swap partition automatically on reboot, or
use 'swapon'.
