Subject: | [ts-7000] /dev/mem and /dev/shm |

Could someone please point me at some docs that explain the difference between /dev/mem and /dev/shm? It seems like both do essentially the same thing.... I'm tyring to figure out the best way to use the battery-backed sram on these boards; I need a way to a) share data between running applications, and b) keep that data secure during powerfails and shutdowns. Both /dev/shm and /dev/mem seem similar; one is POSIX and the other is not.... So what's the deal? --Yan ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get Bzzzy!
