Well if you can get your router to fit on the onboard flash, you can use that
instead of the
CF card. It boots faster, the file system it uses is journaling so it recovers
much better
from a loss of power. There have also been past threads on this list about
building a really
simple UPS, allowing the board to power down properly on a loss of mainline
power (much
easier with 5VDC than 120 VAC).
