You may find it useful to tweak the ext2 filesystem after it is
built using "tune2fs". I use the following to stop any griping
about the filesystem needing checking due to it being mounted <n>
times without being checked:
sudo tune2fs -c -1 -i 0 <raw device>
"man tune2fs" is your friend.
