Thanks Tony - that sounds logical... one question, I don't have such a
device in /dev (see below) - do I have to create one? If so, how do I
do it and link it to /dev/tts/2 (which i use setserial to set the irq)
$ ls /dev
console discs kmem null random tts urandom
cua fd mem port root tty zero
cuaam0 full misc ptmx stderr ttyAM0
cuaam1 ide mtd pts stdin ttyAM1
