I don't know about 'works', but the pwc that comes with Debian Sid 
kernel works as well as the snapsnots that I've tried. That is, my cam 
works with effectv, pmcam, and a couple others of the 'basic' apps, but 
not Kopete or gyach-advanced.  *shrug*
