I would not spray silicon on a microphone without knowing very well what
I was doing.
An experience I have of silicon, is that if you spray it on wind
protection foam, rain goes right through the foam, instead of being
(partly) soaked up.
If I really needed to protect my microphone, I would use a condom. It
affects the sound very little and doesn=B4t rattle.
