 The general texture is a bit rough (I ordered the white nylon version), bu=

 As for its durability, time will tell.  So far it has stood up to quite a =
bit of not-too-gentle use without any problems.  I have dropped it several =
times, had it fall to the ground when a tripod fell over, etc. and it is un=

 As I said, I am quite pleased so far but I've only had it a few weeks.  It=
 is overpriced for what it is but it isn't offensively priced.  If it said =
Rode on the side it would have been $99 rather than the $35 I paid.=0D
