I'm curious to hear your opinion of the finish on the mount, and the streng=
th. I've seen 3D printed stuff that was very rough, and also brittle.=0D

The cost of a mold is not relevant since these are 3D printed. There is mar=
gin in the price for profit, but that's ok, profit is good. The strength an=
d the fit to the microphone is important. It's marvelous to see the variety=
of microphones covered here. Unfortunately, not mine.=0D

No shock mount option but if that is not important then definitely a good d=
eal. Look at their ORTF holder for Schoeps at $30. The one from Schoeps sel=
ls for $126 and is not a superior design by any stretch.=0D

The $35 price (plus shipping) is not all that bad considering making the mo=
ld to produce them probably cost the company over $3000 (more if they did n=
ot have it done in China) and a normal production run is usually 5000 units=
at about $1 a unit for a net investment of $8,000 before they sold their f=
irst mount. This is why in part this is usually not done and instead the OR=
TF mic holders are made from multiple parts that can be used on multiple de=
signs and with a wide variety of microphones and more important, they can b=
e adjusted for ORTF or XY.=0D
