This is an all-ages, hands-on experience where you can learn about the Pre=
sidio's ever-changing landscape while testing out new tools designed to sup=
port your exploration of the park's natural heritage. =0D

An exciting feature is a sound installation with recordings from El Polin =
Spring, an historic area in the Presidio. Sound engineer and designer Dan D=
ugan has been recording at El Polin Spring each April for the last 8 years,=
documenting the changes in the area as it has undergone a major restoratio=
n from an introduced eucalyptus forest to its former native habitat. These=
recordings are the core of the sound installation.=0D

A special opening day panel discussion - Exploring Our Senses of Place - w=
ill follow the Open House at 6 pm.=0D
