Nature Sounds Society (NSS) will be participating in the 2016 McLaren Park =
BioBlitz sponsored by Cal Academy of Sciences and Nerds for Nature on Satu=
rday, April 16, 2016 in McLaren Park, San Francisco. McLaren Park is locat=
ed in the southeast part of the city and is one of San Francisco=92s little=
used and wild treasures.=0D

The Bioblitz is an intensive one-day study of biodiversity in a specific l=
ocation, bringing scientists and volunteer citizen-scientists together. Tog=
ether, participants look for snails, birds, mammals, frogs, butterflies, ot=
her insects, spiders, trees, worms, flowers, and everything else. NSS memb=
ers will be there recording nature with a couple of different types of soun=
d rigs, demonstrating equipment and discussing the importance of sound in t=
he environment. The event takes place between 10 am and 1 pm, originating =
at the school adjacent to the park: June Jordan School for Equity. 325 La =
