The MobileLite has several different functions. It can act as a wireless se=
rver for any devices that do WiFi, so I can copy audio or pic files from a =
smartphone to an SD card or thumb drive attached to it. It can also copy di=
rectly from SD card to thumb drive, so if your recorder uses SD cards or ca=
n attach to the MobileLite via USB you can copy to the other storage format=
. All without the need for a Windows 10 computer. But yes the accompanying =
app needs a smartphone or other Wifi device such as an iPod Touch to initia=
te the transfers.
