The description would seem to be indicate that the researchers have re-inve= nted the interference tube shotgun microphone, but limited it to high frequ= ency directional discrimination. Of course, directional information will on= ly help sort out the cocktail party effect in the direct field, & be largel= y ineffective in a highly diffuse field. SF |
