Tim,
Seriously though, at a quarter speed, about a third through and also before=
the wolf whistles, you can clearly hear both vocal chords in its syrinx
being used. Even a larger bird like the thrush is too fast for us to
appreciate fully.
If you have a chance, check out a wren at eighth speed and even the humble=
sparrow if you still have them around.
