Yeah my favourite type of bird call I think. Here is one I recorded a few y=

I have also noticed that since moving from the Midlands (UK) to Somerset (U=
K) that the Song Thrushes sound different in different parts of the country=
- the ones in the Midlands used to wolf whistle (you can hear a little of =
that in the link above) but not heard that at all from the ones here in Som=
erset! J

Thank you :)
I have to say that Song Thrush made my day and cheered me up no end :) And =
I'm so glad I always pack a small recorder in my rucksack when on a walk.

Philip,
Thank you for your excellent recording. I'm particularly jealous as I have=
failed to get a good thrush in spite of having them around my house and
barn. I liked the background as well which set the thrush in context with
the wind and tree sounds, and even some slight anthropogenic sounds in the=
far background which made it "real".
Congratulations also to the thrush, which I rate highly for song quality, u=
p
there with the best, and also beating the melodious Blackbird, which can ge=
t
repetitive in a more boring way. :-)
