stay away from the Zooms. Don't have enough experience with the R26 to comment on it, but in the same= type of recorder, you have the Olympus LS-100 which is a pretty good recor= der. a step up above that would even be a Tascam DR680 mkI or a Fostex FR2 LE. B= oth of those recorders are updated, or will be updated soon, so the first m= odels are starting to drop in price.
