In response to Ernie Jardine
Its great to read about your book and discover your website. A cheque is
already in the mail! I might be able to include some of your philosophy
in my public presentations.
I really applaud anyone who is encouraging the public to recognize birds
by ear or otherwise. I believe in the long run it is the only way to
encourage people to protect habitat for the wild critters.
I appreciate some of the new ways members are coming up with to learn
birdsongs, but it still takes time to absorb them in your brain. Don't
give up on the great recordings by Lang Elliott, Kevin Colver, Greg
Budney at Cornell, Martin Stewart, Bernie Krause and others who are
members of this group.
