This looks like a variation on the SASS theme which is basically a dummy
head. Unlike purely binaural recordings - and the BBC is again experimentin=

with binaural drama on headphones - the SASS and your rig work well on clos=

loudspeakers at least. My lounge stereo setup is naff due to the layout
being stipulated by Herself and not acoustic values. :-(

I've done experiments with level stereo and time delay stereo, and the best=

results come when both give the same "picture". I would stick to 17 to 18
cms spacing, as the time difference doesn't work so well beyond 60
milliseconds.

BTW have you tried your rig on the ground?
