Not sure what you mean by that; the capsule needs to be at the focal point. How
much sticks out the back doesn't matter.

Facing the dish is the theoretically correct way to do it, but Telinga teaches
that other ways work, too, like stereo in a dish. Using the Universal with the
mic pointing away from the dish will reduce the HF a little, but the dish
system has a rising HF response anyway, so it isn't critical.
Listen to it both ways and choose what you like.
