Jos=C3=A9,

A beautiful recording. This was a good illustration of depth which I was
writing about, from the distant sounds like the cuckoos (which we have lost=

where I live in South West England) up to all that close activity. It
sounded as if one bird made contact with the mic rig at 03:21.

Were they feeding? The stereo placement of the 30/40 M/S pair is excellent,=

with every position, close and far, clear. In terms of sonels - sound pixel=
s
 - I would say this has the full 9 across the width of the sound image.

This sounded like open woodland. I had a look on the map but it wasn't
clear. There is a distant echo from the cuckoo call at 02:33, possibly from=

a reflection around 75 metres away. Is that possible? I also looked at the=

HF noise spectrum which was down to the lowest limit at the top end.

Thank you for sending that recording.
