To get a similar low weight in a photographic tripod will cost = a very great deal as you'd be looking at carbon fibre construction. > > http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/lighting-stands-baby-lightweight Nick, This is far too tall for my usual wildlife recording, but if I can't get close to the ground, I use a cheap and light camera tripod from Hong Kong with a 1/4 to 3/8 inch adaptor. Look on eBay. The cheap tripods I found still have telescopic legs which can adjust to uneven ground. With a long gunmic or parabola, you need to be able to pan and tilt and the tripod head will do this. David Brinicombe |
