The newish Sony D100 provides 5v PIP. It made my WL183s sound noticeably qu= ieter and generally better than when using the PIP from the M10.=0D =0D It's a bigger lump to carry than the M10. The internal mics sound pretty go= od but are extremely sensitive to even a draft. The preamp for external mic= s is a delight, smooth and very quiet. Sony have been critisized for making= such an expensive device without XLR but the PIP input is first class, the= best I've ever heard ( I never got around to checking the old RH-1 minidis= c, though ). =0D =0D And, the battery life is good, not as good as the M10 but certainly good fo= r an all-night drop off.=0D =0D norman. |
