> I am curious, how do you put the gain in the front pair and in the "two r=
ear channel mikes" , the same gain?
If the mics are matched, I set the gains to be the same. If fronts and rear=
s are different types, I set the gains so the ambience sounds the same in a=
ll channels.

annel mikes? Does it work with the same gain in the four mics?
With multi-track recording you can always adjust the channels in post. If y=
ou're talking about mixing four mics to a stereo recorder, I wouldn't do th=
at. I recommend just using a purist stereo pair (Jecklin, MS, SASS, whateve=
r).

with the ms pair or blumlein pair, my main stereo pair.
You're going to have your hands full just pointing the parabola, I wouldn't=
try to mix at the same time. A separate mono track would be best, mix in p=
ost.
