Thanks for sharing this, Norman. I do skepticism as well as anyone, and see a real need for it in many situations, but I also found this very moving as well. At the very least it speaks to our disconnection from the natural world and our utter lack of understanding of the rich emotional and communicative lives of the other animals. Part of why I do and teach nature sound recording is to foster that reconnection. many thanks.
