MKH20 high frequency boost

Subject: MKH20 high frequency boost

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm having a hard time understanding the
difference between the high frequency boost of the Sennheiser MKH20 and the low
frequency roll-off of the ME62. Would the high frequency boost accomplish
anything similar to low frequency roll-off? If not, does it have any value for
natural sound (bird song) recording, or is it just for music recording?

 Thanks,

 Bruce Rideout
