Hi-

Here's a tutorial for soldering leads onto the tiny panasonic mic capsules:
https://pantherfile.uwm.edu/type/www/116/Trek01/BuildingMics/WM-61A_BrookBu=
ildsMics/WM-61A_BrookBuildsMics.html

Most electret capsules are larger/easier. Grad students with no prior solde=
ring experience used these steps to guide classes through the soldering ent=
irely on their own.

Considering how many thousands of solder connections there are in each of o=
ur lives/households, I recommended it experience as a grounding experience =
for everyone.

If the capsules are pricey, consider buying some cheaper electret capsules =
to practice on.
