Subject: [Nature Recordists] Re: Trouble wiring PIP shure mics
=C2=A0
Mr. Danielson,
I have two Shure WL-183 mice and the mating TA4M connectors to connect to t=
hem.
I have a Sony PCM-D50 recorder which provides about 2.8 VDC to either the t=
ip or ring (relative to shield) of a 3.5mm stereo plug.
Based on what I read just below, pins 1,3 and 4 need to be connected to the=
shield
and pin 2 should be connected to either tip or ring.
Should this work with my recorder?
Thanks for your expertise and advice.
