Hi I think it may be possible to simulate any type of remote (switch or IR) using a microcontroller as used for triggering a camera. The most popular DIY solution is to use the Arduino board, this is used for 'intervalometer' timer functions as well as triggers from sound, light, movement etc. I have built one for an olympus dslr with switch and IR remote functions. The cost in low but will involve a degree of electronic skills and some software programming. Search on google for 'Arduino intervalometer' Graham |
