Speaking of impressive calls, I heard a raven that made an extremely loud call that sounded like the sonar sound effect from submarine movies. It was flying around "practising" this call, made me wonder if it's actually using it for echolocation (in misty weather perhaps?). Never found a good recording of it, though.. Caspar |
