That was good news.
When you have copied all files you can continue to have it connected to
your new laptop and then do a repair of the file system on that harddrive.
Then you can put it back in your old laptop and it might start. If it
doesn't, you an do the same thing once more and it might start up. Try it
at least once. You may be surprised...
