Wind foam decay

Dear Nature Recordists,

I have problem with mic foam decaying into powdery substance. I work in Ind=
ia and often in hot and moist places. The first decay was of telinga twin s=
cience mic foam and later of telinga stereo dat mic foam. One of my friend =
has also the same foam. I want to know the experience of fellow recordists =
and request for any  suggestions to prolong the wind foam life.
