In that case my picks would be Bobbin's Head and/or Jerusalem Bay.
Bobbin's Head is very easy to reach, however, especially on the weekend you=
'll have dozens of people around there. If I remember correctly they have a=
boat ramp there as well. During the week and before dawn, however, you sho=
uld get some uninterrupted times. The drive on the road in and the other si=
de out is just absolutely lovely, so even if you're not going here for reco=
rdings I can highly recommend the drive, just for the scenery.
Have a look here:

The Jerusalem Bay to Brooklyn track is just absolutely marvellous, although=
, it'll still take you at least 30-40 minutes until you don't hear the nois=
e from the highway (variations depending on your setup, of course). I did t=
he hike down to the bay and then went back, however, I think you can press =
on and come out in Brooklyn (NSW that is, not US ;) Along the way down, the=
re should be plenty of wildlife but of course that depends on the time of y=
ear and I'm not that familiar with the area. For more info see here:

If you are still keen in the afternoon and don't mind a drive, I would high=
ly recommend a detour via the Blue Mountains. There are a couple of spots w=
here you'll hear the Bellbirds through the closed windows of your driving c=
ar ;)
This is where I would probably try but others who are more familiar with Sy=
dney might have better spots.
Have fun and good luck with the weather!
