robin, if you get a chance to listen to the HD700s and HD800s please do for the
experience. they have a different transducer design sound from the rest of the
Senn line.
Yes, open/large are not for field work. for that purpose I'll try those you
suggested, the HD 25-1 ii and the beyer DT 1350. I can imagine closed/large for
work in a comfy car or tent.
