Thanks Raimund for another of your ever-helpful responses.
So I guess the rule is, the iRig is useful for something like an
iPhone that has very poor preamps, but for something like Sony PCM-
M10 or Olympus LS 5/ 10/ 11, turn off the iRig preamp switch and just
use it as a powering device if you need to connect 48v powered mics.
